How A Book Begins

For me, this is how every story I write begins. With a blank sheet of paper and a pen. Some authors prefer using writing software, but I like to take my clean board and sit outside. I listen to the sounds of nature and the inspiration comes. Not very different from how I write my scenes after creating a hard outline. I'll take a walk and think about what I need and want to happen next. I would like to be able to write a book faster, but I do love the process and the challenge of writing a book from an idea. This week, book two of the Door County Hearts Series will release entitled, "Catching a Cowboy". If you found yourself twirled around from the plans you had set for life and moving in a 180-degree change of direction, you'll enjoy this next book of mine. You don't have to read Book One in the series, "Falling for Chet" or the book that started this trio of clean romances, "A Christmas Kind of Perfect" but you might want to as the story is set in the same little village in Door County, Wisconsin, and some of the most beloved characters return. Wish me luck in this new endeavor as I begin writing Book 3 and tie up this series. I already know my hero and heroine and that's the first step off the cliff into the fictional world of my characters. Until next time, keep reading, and thank you for supporting your local authors.
